1000 CLEAR CONTRADICTIONS AND ERRORS IN THE BIBLE

MOST  OF THE ARTICLES MENTIONED BELOW WERE COMPILED AND WRITTEN BY CHRISTIANS,EX-PRIESTS AND SCHOLARS OF THE BIBLE.

numerous contradictions in the bible
According to most Christians, Jesus was God-incarnate, fully man and fully God. Can the finite and the infinite be one? “To be fully God” means freedom from finite forms and from helplessness, and to be “full man” means the absence of divinity.

1. To be son is to be less than divine and to be divine is to be no one’s son. How could Jesus have the attributes of Sonship and divinity altogether?neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His shape“?

2. Christians assert that Jesus claimed to be God when they quote him in John 14:9: “He that has seen me has seen the Father”. Didn’t Jesus clearly say that people have never seen God, as
it says in John 5:37: “And the father himself which Has sent me, has borne witness of me. You have

3. Christians say that Jesus was God because he was called Son of God, Son of Man, Messiah, and “savior”. Ezekiel was addressed in the Bible as Son of Man. Jesus spoke of “the peace makers” as Sons of God. Any person who followed the Will and Plan of God was called SON OF GOD in the Jewish tradition and in their language1. “Messiah” which in Hebrew means “God’s anointed” and not “Christ”, and “Cyrus” the person is called “Messiah” or “the anointed”. As for “savior”, in II Kings 13:5, other individuals were given that title too without being gods. So where is the proof in these terms that Jesus was God when the word son is not exclusively used for him alone?

4. Christians claim that Jesus acknowledged that he and God were one in the sense of nature when he says in John 10:30 “I and my father are one”. Later on in John 17:21-23, Jesus refers to his followers and himself and God as one in five places. So why did they give the previous “one” a different meaning from the other five “ones?

5. Is God three-in-one and one in three simultaneously or one at a time?

6. If God is one and three simultaneously, then none of the three could be the complete God. Granting that such was the case, then when Jesus was on earth, he wasn’t a complete God, nor was the “Father in Heaven” a whole God. Doesn’t that contradict what Jesus always said about His God and our God in heaven, his Lord and our Lord? Does that also mean that there was no complete god then, between the claimed crucifixion and the claimed resurrection?

7. If God is one and three at a time, then who was the God in heaven when Jesus was on earth? Wouldn’t this contradict his many references to a God in Heaven that sent him?

8. If God is three and one at the same time, who was the God in Heaven within three days between the claimed crucifixion and the claimed resurrection?

9. Christians say that: “The Father(F) is God, the Son(S) is God, and the Holy Ghost(H) is God, but the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Ghost, and the Holy Ghost is not the Father”. In simple arithmetic terms, if F = G, S = G, and H = G, then it follows that F = S = H, while the second part of the statement suggests that F¹ S¹ H (meaning, “not equal”). Isn’t that a contradiction to the Christian dogma of Trinity in itself?

10. If Jesus was God, why did he tell the man who called him “good master” not to call him “good” because accordingly, there is none good but his God in Heaven alone?

11. Why do Christians say that God is three-in-one and one in three when Jesus says in Mark 12:29: “The Lord our God is one Lord” in as many places as yet in the Bible?

12. If belief in the Trinity was such a necessary condition for being a Christian, why didn’t Jesus teach and emphasize it to the Christians during his time? How were those followers of Jesus considered Christians without ever hearing the term Trinity? Had the Trinity been the spinal cord of Christianity, Jesus would have emphasized it on many occasions and would have taught and explained it in detail to the people.

13. Christians claim that Jesus was God as they quote in John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. This is John speaking and not Jesus. Also, the Greek word for the first occurrence of God is hotheos which means “the God” or “God” with a capital “G”, while the Greek word for its second occurrence is tontheos, which means “a god ” or “god” with a small “g”. Isn’t this dishonesty and inconsistency on the part of those translating the Greek Bible? ? Isn’t such quotation in John 1:1 recognized by every Christian scholar of the Bible to have been written by a Jew named Philo Alexandria way before Jesus and John?

14. Wasn’t the word “god” or “tontheos” also used to refer to others as well as in II Corinthians 4:4 “(and the Devil is) the god of this world” and in Exodus 7:1 “See , I have made thee (Moses ) a god to Pharaoh”?

Him calling the disbelievers, who are supposed to be doomed to Hell, as “sanctified” and “holy” is clear nonsense and stupidity, and further proves with CLEAR-CUT proofs that his words were not Revelations from GOD Almighty. It also contradicts GOD Almighty’s verdict about them in the Old Testament.

Introduction:

We must first of all know that the entire Bible is corrupted and unreliable and is mostly filled with man-made laws and corruption! “`How can you say, “We [the Jews] are wise, for we have the law of the LORD,” when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?’ (From the NIV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)”

The Revised Standard Version makes it even clearer: “How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us’? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie. (From the RSV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)”

In either translation, we clearly see that the Jews had so much corrupted the Bible with their man-made cultural laws, that they had turned the Bible into a lie!

See Also Deuteronomy 31:25-29 where Moses peace be upon him predicted the corruption/tampering of the Law (Bible) after his death.

The Book of Moses predicted that the Law (Bible) will get corrupted. The Book of Jeremiah which came approximately 826 years after did indeed confirm this corruption.

8- The Bible’s “original manuscripts had been lost” according to the Christian scholars and theologians:

Some Christians decided to respond to many of the Bible’s contradictions. They named their site “101 Clear Contradictions in the Bible.” Ironically, their own quotes below refute them! For example, you can do a search on this text in their site: “Confirmation of this type of copyist error is found in various pagan writers as well.” Even those Christian scholars admit with their own typed words by their own fingers that the Bible does indeed contain “copyist error(s)”, and they lowered their Holy Scripture to the level of a pagan book through their comparison. My question is then, how can it be the word of GOD when it contains Satanic “copyist errors”?

By the way, please visit: The Catholic Church no longer swears by truth of the Bible.

Answering Infidel Shamoun on the Lie of Bible Preservation.

The Original manuscript don’t even exist according to the bible’s own theologians!

“Christians readily admit, however, that there have been ‘scribal errors’ in the copies of the Old and New Testament. It is beyond the capability of anyone to avoid any and every slip of the pen in copying page after page from any book, sacred or secular. Yet we may be sure that the original manuscript (better known as autograph) of each book of the Bible, being directly inspired by God, was free from all error. Those originals, however, because of the early date of their inception no longer exist.”

“Because we are dealing with accounts which were written thousands of years ago, we would not expect to have the originals in our possession today, as they would have disintegrated long ago. We are therefore dependent on the copies taken from copies of those originals, which were in turn continually copied out over a period of centuries. Those who did the copying were prone to making two types of scribal errors. One concerned the spelling of proper names, and the other had to do with numbers.”

“Most Christians will affirm that the Bible is our rule of faith and practice. It is a little self contradictory to stand in the pulpit and say the word of God is inspired, when in his heart the pastor knows he is not referring to any book here on this earth that people can hold in their hands and believe. He really should say what he believes – that the word of God WAS inspired at one time but we no longer have it, so the best we can do is hope we have a close approximation of what God probably meant to tell us.” (http://www.geocities.com/brandplucked/transinsp.html)

“It also seems a bit inconsistent to say he believes the originals were inspired, when he has never seen them, they never were together in one single book and they no longer exist anyway. How does he know they were inspired? He accepts this by faith. Yet he seems to lack the faith to actually believe that God could do exactly what He said He would do with His words. God said He would preserve them and that heaven and earth would pass away but His words would not pass away.” (http://www.geocities.com/brandplucked/transinsp.html)

Yet, this same person writes:

“How Old Was Ahaziah, 22 or 42?

This is an apparent contradiction that frequently is thrown in the face of Christians who believe we have an inspired Bible. Many Atheist, Islam and Bible debunker sites bring up this example. Sad to say, most of the “Christian” apologetic sites which promote the new bible versions cave in here and say the number 42 is a copyist error.

Here is a typical response by those Christians who use and promote the modern versions. This one comes from Techtonics Apologetics. This “defender of the faith” answers: “ Was Ahaziah forty-two or twenty-two (per 2 Kings 8:26) when he ascended the throne? More likely 22, and 2 Chronicles has been hit by a copyist error. See our foundational essay on copyist errors for general background. In favor of the “22” reading in 2 Chronicles: The 2 Kings reading; some LXX and Syriac manuscripts.

This typical Christian response is not limited to this one example, but in many objections brought up by the infidels or the curious, this same rote answer is given. There is a copyist error. There is a typo in God’s book. The skeptics laugh and the modern version proponent looks like a fool.

2 Chronicles 22:2 tells us that Ahaziah was 42 years old when he began to reign. The Hebrew texts, plus Wycliffe 1395,Coverdale 1535, Bishop’s Bible 1568, Geneva Bible 1599, the Revised Version, the American Standard Version, Douay 1950, the Spanish Reina Valera 1960, Italian Diodati 1602, NKJV, RSV, NRSV, the Jewish translations of 1917 and 1936, the 1998 Complete Jewish Bible, Hebrew Names Bible, Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible, Webster’s 1833 translation, the New English Bible 1970, the New Jerusalem, KJV 21st Century, and the Third Millenium Bible all say Ahaziah was 42 years old when he began to reign.

The inspired Hebrew text clearly says Ahaziah was 42 years old. The masoretic scribes were very scrupulous in copying their sacred trust. No word or number was written from memory but each word was carefully checked before he recopied it. The copies were checked and checked again and if there were a single error, the whole was discarded and and new one begun……” (http://www.geocities.com/brandplucked/22or42.html)

My Response:

How do you know that the above references (written by ordinary men) that you used in proving that Ahaziah was 42 years old are correct when the original manuscripts had been lost? What makes you be so sure that Ahaziah was indeed 42 years old and not 22 or any other age? You said the Christians make themselves look like “fools” when they attempt to answer away the apparent and irrefutable errors in the Bible. Didn’t you too just make an utter fool out of yourself too?

Face it and admit it! The Bible’s overwhelming errors and corruptions are unanswerable! The Bible is corrupt no matter how you try to decorate it.

The authors of the sites in the quotes above admit that the entire Bible is NOT perfect, and contains man’s corruption or alteration in it. They also admit that the original manuscripts that came from GOD Almighty are lost. I’d like to comment on their points of the type of errors that exist in the Bible today:

1- There is no evidence that the errors are only limited to spelling of proper names and numbers. They’re only assuming this and are using it as fact. And even if this was true, then as they openly admitted, this takes away the Bible’s perfection. The reader must remember that the Christians’ entire polytheist trinity paganism comes solely from conclusions and interpretations! There is not ONE SINGLE claim or hard evidence in the Bible about GOD Almighty being 3, or that Jesus is our Creator. Jesus who ran away from King Herod to Egypt, and who begged GOD Almighty for Mercy and prostrated his face down to the ground before Him on the night of crucifixion can not be the Creator of the Universe. The trinitarian pagans would happily try to convince you that trinity is right from their corrupted book, while at the same time, they openly admit that there are errors and man’s alterations that exist in the Bible, and the original manuscripts had been lost. If the original manuscripts had been lost, then what makes you be so sure that trinity is the correct conclusion?

2- According to the Bible’s theologians, no one even knows who wrote the copies that they’re referring to. In other words, we don’t even know if these people were anointed from GOD Almighty or not, because we don’t have any evidence that the letters found that make up the Bible today were officially written by men.

The scandals of some of the top Christian Ministers and Priests. The Noble Quran, in Noble Verse 9:34 makes a Prophecy about many of the Christian ministers will always devour people’s wealth.

(a) “Toward the dawn” (Matthew 28: 1)

(b) “When the sun had risen” (Mark 16:2)

What was the purpose for which the women went to the tomb?

(a) To anoint Jesus’ body with spices (Mark 16: 1; Luke 23:55 to 24: 1)

(b) To see the tomb. Nothing about spices here (Matthew 28: 1)

(c) For no specified reason. In this gospel the wrapping with spices had been done before the Sabbath (John 20: 1)

A large stone was placed at the entrance of the tomb. Where was the stone when the women arrived?

(a) They saw that the stone was “Rolled back” (Mark 16:4) They found the stone “rolled away from the tomb” (Luke 24:2) They saw that “the stone had been taken away from the tomb” (John 20:1)

(b) As the women approached, an angel descended from heaven, rolled away the stone, and conversed with the women. Matthew made the women witness the spectacular rolling away of the stone (Matthew 28:1-6)

Did anyone tell the women what happened to Jesus’ body?

(a) Yes. “A young man in a white robe” (Mark 16:5). “Two men … in dazzling apparel” later described as angels (Luke 24:4 and 24:23). An angel – the one who rolled back the stone (Matthew 16:2). In each case the women were told that Jesus had risen from the dead (Matthew 28:7; Mark 16:6; Luke 24:5 footnote)

(b) No. Mary met no one and returned saying, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him” (John 20:2)

When did Mary Magdelene first meet the resurrected Jesus? And how did she react?

(a) Mary and the other women met Jesus on their way back from their first and only visit to the tomb. They took hold of his feet and worshipped him (Matthew 28:9)

(b) On her second visit to the tomb Mary met Jesus just outside the tomb. When she saw Jesus she did not recognize him. She mistook him for the gardener. She still thinks that Jesus’ body is laid to rest somewhere and she demands to know where. But when Jesus said her name she at once recognized him and called him “Teacher.” Jesus said to her, “Do not hold me…” (John 20:11 to 17)

What was Jesus’ instruction for his disciples?

(a) “Tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see me” (Matthew 2 8: 10)

(b) “Go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God” (John 20:17)

When did the disciples return to Galilee?

(a) Immediately, because when they saw Jesus in Galilee “some doubted” (Matthew 28:17). This period of uncertainty should not persist

(b) After at least 40 days. That evening the disciples were still in Jerusalem (Luke 24:3 3). Jesus appeared to them there and told them, stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high” (Luke 24:49). He was appearing to them “during forty days” (Acts 1:3), and “charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise … “(Acts 1:4)

To whom did the Midianites sell Joseph?

(a) “To the Ishmaelites” (Genesis 37:28)

(b) “To Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh” (Genesis 37:36)

Who brought Joseph to Egypt?

(a) The Ishmaelites bought Joseph and then “took Joseph to Egypt” (Genesis 37:28)

(b) “The Midianites had sold him in Egypt” (Genesis 37:36)

(c) Joseph said to his brothers “I am your brother, Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt” (Genesis 45:4)

Does God change his mind?

(a) Yes. “The word of the Lord came to Samuel: “I repent that I have made Saul King…” (I Samuel 15:10 to 11)

(b) No. God “will not lie or repent; for he is not a man, that he should repent” (I Samuel 15:29)

(c) Yes. “And the Lord repented that he had made Saul King over Israel” (I Samuel 15:35). Notice that the above three quotes are all from the same chapter of the same book! In addition, the Bible shows that God repented on several other occasions:

i. “The Lord was sorry that he made man” (Genesis 6:6)

“I am sorry that I have made them” (Genesis 6:7)

ii. “And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do to his people” (Exodus 32:14).

iii. (Lots of other such references).

The Bible says that for each miracle Moses and Aaron demonstrated the magicians did the same by their secret arts. Then comes the following feat:

(a) Moses and Aaron converted all the available water into blood (Exodus 7:20-21)

(b) The magicians did the same (Exodus 7:22). This is impossible, since there would have been no water left to convert into blood.

Who killed Goliath?

(a) David (I Samuel 17:23, 50)

(b) Elhanan (2 Samuel 21:19)

Who killed Saul?

(a) “Saul took his own sword and fell upon it…. Thus Saul died… (I Samuel 31:4-6)

(b) An Amalekite slew him (2 Samuel 1:1- 16)

Does every man sin?

(a) Yes. “There is no man who does not sin” (I Kings 8:46; see also 2 Chronicles 6:36; Proverbs 20:9; Ecclesiastes 7:20; and I John 1:810)

(b) No. True Christians cannot possibly sin, because they are the children of God. “Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God.. (I John 5:1). “We should be called children of God; and so we are” (I John 3: 1). “He who loves is born of God” (I John 4:7). “No one born of God commits sin; for God’s nature abides in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God” (I John 3:9). But, then again, Yes! “If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” (I John 1:8)

Who will bear whose burden?

(a) “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2)

(b) “Each man will have to bear his own load” (Galatians 6:5)

How many disciples did Jesus appear to after his resurrection?

(a) Twelve (I Corinthians 15:5)

(b) Eleven (Matthew 27:3-5 and Acts 1:9-26, see also Matthew 28:16; Mark 16:14 footnote; Luke 24:9; Luke 24:3 3)

Where was Jesus three days after his baptism?

(a) After his baptism, “the spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. And he was in the wilderness forty days … (Mark 1:12-13)

(b) Next day after the baptism, Jesus selected two disciples. Second day: Jesus went to Galilee – two more disciples. Third day: Jesus was at a wedding feast in Cana in Galilee (see John 1:35; 1:43; 2:1-11)

Was baby Jesus’ life threatened in Jerusalem?

(a) Yes, so Joseph fled with him to Egypt and stayed there until Herod died (Matthew 2:13 23)

(b) No. The family fled nowhere. They calmly presented the child at the Jerusalem temple according to the Jewish customs and returned to Galilee (Luke 2:21-40)

When Jesus walked on water how did the disciples respond?

(a) They worshipped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God” (Matthew 14:33)

(b) “They were utterly astounded, for they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened” (Mark 6:51-52)

Those Who worship Jesus and take him as God are really True Worshipers ?

Did Jesus love to die for the sins of the world ?? Bible Says NO !!!!!

Jesus (peace be upon him) represents a common link between the two religions having the most followers on the earth today, Christianity and Islam.

Christians believe that Jesus (pbuh) is God, came to the earth in human form to die for the sins of the world.

300px-Jesus_Christ_Crucifix

Islam teaches that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet sent to the children of Israel and he was neither crucified nor killed. In fact he is alive and is with the God and will come back to earth before last days.

The Noble Quran :

An-Nisa [Chapter 4 : 71]

O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah aught but the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a Messenger of Allah and His Word, (“Be!” – and he was) which He bestowed on Mary and a spirit created by Him; so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not: “Three (trinity)!” Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allah is (the only) One Ilah (God), glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.

Al-Imran [Chapter 3 :54]

And they (disbelievers) plotted to kill ‘Isa (Jesus), and Allah plotted too. And Allah is the Best of those who plot.

An-Nisa [Chapter 4 : 157]

That they(Jews) said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but THEY KILLED HIM NOT, NOR CRUCIFIED HIM, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.

Christians believe that Jesus (pbuh) was suffered on cross and sacrificed his life for sinful humans. But when I examined the Bible I found something different.

I heard some of my friends saying that, ‘No one dies for us, not even our parents. But Jesus loves us and he died for our sins’.  But when I read the Bible, I found something different.

Did Jesus want to be crucified or die in the hands of disbelievers? Bible says NO!!

Please read the following :

Matthew 26:39

Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

Matthew 26:42

He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

Mark 14:36

“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

Luke 22:42

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

If the mighty messenger prays like that, doesn’t God answer his prayers??

Jesus (pbuh) prayed God to protect him. He prayed in this way – ‘my will is you protect me from disbelievers and if your will is to let me die in their hands, your will only should be done.’

According to Christians, he was crucified. That means whatever Jesus  prayed, God didn’t accept his prayer and let Jesus die on cross. I ask one question – If prayer of mighty messenger like Jesus was not accepted by God, then what about prayers of normal people like us?

There is one more verse in Hebrews (5:7) in which Paul says the prayers of Jesus to the God, were answered to save him from death:

[Hebrews 5:7]

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

Prophets prayers were answered. Abraham (pbuh), in his old-age had prayed for a son, and Ishmael (pbuh) was born.  Ishmael literally means “GOD HEARD”, in Hebrew. Zakariah (pbuh) also in his old-age prayed for a son, and God heard (accepted) his prayers, and John the Baptist was born. Bible says Jesus(pbuh) cried for help, and God heard (accepted) his prayers:

“And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.” (Luke 22:43)

Strengthening him in the faith means assuring him of divine favor that God would save him.

If you still can not believe this, please look at the following verses in Bible:

Matthew 27:46

About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”—which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Mark 15:34

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”—which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

A person who prayed God like this (“I want you to protect me, if you do not will to protect me, your will only should be done, not my will”),  Can say these words later – “My God, Why have you forsaken me?”

Please think about it!! Can you imagine a noble messenger like Jesus praying to God, by changing the words like this???

I heard some people saying, ‘may be Jesus didn’t want to sacrifice his life, but God willed him to do that’. If this is the case, I know few Christian brothers & sisters who are so passionate about the sacrifice of Jesus for human sins. They say ‘who will die for us? Even our parents can not die for us. But Jesus died for us with love’. From above verses of the Bible, do you still say that Jesus wanted to die for you with love? It is crystal clear that Bible says he didn’t want to die and prayed God to protect him.

Some may say that God took the human form and that weak human was terrified, cried and prayed. Here two questions get raised :

1. If Jesus was God, and then who was he praying to? Does God pray to himself?

2. If God in human form was terrified, cried and want to escape the death, what about a normal solider of our days who gets ready to sacrifice his life for his country and participates in war? Do you say that soldier is courageous than Jesus ?

If you still can’t believe about his prayer – Please look at these verses:

Luke 22:36

He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

Why did he tell his disciples to buy swords at that time?  He said ‘if you don’t have the sword, sell your cloak and buy one’. What was the need for sword at that time? Was it not for protection from disbelievers if they try to catch him for killing?  The scene in the Garden says so. Prayer of Jesus in the garden, and ordering his disciples to buy swords supports that Jesus and his disciples wanted to protect themselves.

The disciples were already armed. They had not left Galilee with bare knuckles. They responded:

“. . . Lord, behold, here are two SWORDS.” And he said unto them, “It is enough”. (Luke 22:38)

If you are still in doubt about it, please see the verses below:

Some may say that the SWORDS were spiritual! If the swords were spiritual, then the “garments” must also be spiritual. If the disciples of Jesus were to sell their SPIRITUAL garments to buy SPIRITUAL swords, one does not lop off people’s physical ears with spiritual swords —

Matthew 26:51

“And, behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his SWORD, and struck a servant of the high priests, and cut off his ear.

The only purpose of swords or guns is to maim and to kill.

Now please look at the Prayer of Jesus (pbuh) in Gospels, it rules out the crucifixion :

John 17 : 3-4

Now this is eternal life that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you

sent.  I glorified you on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

What did Jesus say here?

He said  – ‘you, the only true God’. These are explicit words of Jesus that he is not the God but the God who sent Jesus is the only true God.

Coming to our topic,

Jesus said – ‘I completed the work you gave me’.

Work is completed!!!!??

The work God gave to Jesus is completed??!!!

According to the Christian doctrine, Jesus was sent to die for the sins of the world. But look at the gospel here, crucifixion is not yet over, but Jesus was saying that ‘work is completed’!!!!

Friends, this is the matter of salvation. It should be taken very seriously. If you still stick to the thought that Jesus (pbuh) loved to die for the sins of the world, Please do think again, even Bible doesn’t support it.!!!!!!!!!

This is not to hurt anyone’s feelings. I have very good Christian friends and some of them are converted Christians. They are very nice, kind and generous. I want to present  what I found in the Bible to my friends & other Christian brothers & sisters. In fact, it is the matter of salvation, and we are given only one life on this earth, there would be no second chance. I wish everyone should try to know the truth about God before death approaches and be saved on Day of Judgment by grace of God Almighty.  This is not to criticize or hurt anyone’s feelings and beliefs. I only want to present the truth, what I found. I hope my friends understand my concern for their hereafter and look into this article and analyze the truth for the sake of God Almighty.

A List of Biblical Contradictions
Subject: A List of Biblical Errors

List of Bible Errors and Contradictions

The Bible is riddled with repetitions and contradictions, things that the Bible bangers would be quick to point out in anything that they want to criticize. For instance, Genesis 1 and 2 disagree about the order in which things are created, and how satisfied God is about the results of his labors. The flood story is really two interwoven stories that contradict each other on how many of each kind of animal are to be brought into the Ark–is it one pair each or seven pairs each of the “clean” ones? The Gospel of John disagrees with the other three Gospels on the activities of Jesus Christ (how long had he stayed in Jerusalem–a couple of days or a whole year?) and all four Gospels contradict each other on the details of Jesus Christ’s last moments and resurrection. The Gospels of Matthew and Luke contradict each other on the genealogy of Jesus Christ’ father; though both agree that Joseph was not his real father. Repetitions and contradictions are understandable for a hodgepodge collection of documents, but not for some carefully constructed treatise, reflecting a well-thought-out plan.

Of the various methods I’ve seen to “explain” these:

“That is to be taken metaphorically” In other words, what is written is not what is meant. I find this entertaining, especially for those who decide what ISN’T to be taken as other than the absolute WORD OF GOD–which just happens to agree with the particular thing they happen to want..

“There was more there than…” This is used when one verse says “there was a” and another says “there was b”, so they decide there was “a” AND “b”–which is said nowhere. This makes them happy, since it doesn’t say there WASN’T “a+b”. But it doesn’t say there was “a+b+little green Martians”. This is often the same crowd that insists theirs is the ONLY possible interpretation (i.e. only “a”) and the only way. I find it entertaining that they don’t mind adding to verses.

“It has to be understood in context” I find this amusing because it comes from the same crowd that likes to push likewise extracted verses that support their particular view. Often it is just one of the verses in the contradictory set is suppose to be taken as THE TRUTH when if you add more to it, it suddenly becomes “out of context”. How many of you have gotten JUST [John 3:16] (taken out of all context) thrown up at you?

“There was just a copying/writing error” This is sometimes called a “transcription error”, as in where one number was meant and an incorrect one was copied down. Or that what was “quoted” wasn’t really what was said, but just what the author thought was said when he thought it was said. And that’s right–I’m not disagreeing with events, I’m disagreeing with what is WRITTEN. Which is apparently agreed that it is incorrect. This is an amusing misdirection to the problem that the bible itself is wrong.

“That is a miracle”. Naturally. That is why it is stated as fact.

“God works in mysterious ways” A useful dodge when the speaker doesn’t understand the conflict between what the Bible SAYS and what they WISH it said.

God good to all, or just a few?

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. [PSA 145:9]

And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them. [JER 13:14]

War or Peace?

The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. [EXO 15:3]

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen [ROM 15:33]

Who is the father of Joseph?

And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. [MAT 1:16]

And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli. [LUK 3:23]

Who was at the Empty Tomb? Is it:

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. [MAT 28:1]

And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. [MAR 16:1]

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. [JOH 20:1]

Is Jesus equal to or lesser than?

I and my Father are one [JOH 10:30]

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
[JOH 14:28]

Which first–beasts or man?

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. [GEN 1:25-26]

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
[GEN 2:18-19]

The number of beasts in the ark

Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. [GEN 7:2]

Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth. There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. [GEN 7:8-9]

How many stalls and horsemen?

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen. [KI1 4:26]

And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem. [CH2 9:25]

Is it folly to be wise or not?

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. [PRO 4:7]

For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. [ECC 1:18]

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. [1 Cor.1:19:]

Human vs. ghostly impregnation

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
[ACT 2:30]

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. [MAT 1:18]

The sins of the father

Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. [ISA 14:21]

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin. [DEU 24:16]

The bat is not a bird

And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the osprey,
And the vulture, and the kite after his kind
Every raven after his kind;
And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. [LEV 11:13-19]

Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the osprey,
And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
And every raven after his kind,
And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. [DEU 14:11-18]

Rabbits do not chew their cud

And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. [LEV 11:6]

‘Gerah’, the term which appears in the MT means (chewed) cud, and also perhaps grain, or berry (also a 20th of a sheckel, but I think that we can agree that that is irrelevant here). It does *not* mean dung, and there is a perfectly adequate Hebrew word for that, which could have been used. Furthermore, the phrase translated ‘chew the cud’ in the KJV is more exactly ‘bring up the cud’. Rabbits do not bring up anything; they let it go all the way through, then eat it again. The description given in Leviticus is inaccurate, and that’s that. Rabbits do eat their own dung; they do not bring anything up and chew on it.

Insects do NOT have four feet

Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.
But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you [LEV 11:21-23]

Snails do not melt

As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun. [PSA 58:8]

Fowl from waters or ground?

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. [GEN 1:20-21]

And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
[GEN 2:19]

Odd genetic engineering

And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted. [GEN 30:39]

The shape of the earth

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: [ISA 40:22]

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them [MAT 4:8]

Astronomical bodies are spherical, and you cannot see the entire exterior surface from anyplace. The kingdoms of Egypt, China, Greece, Crete, sections of Asia Minor, India, Maya (in Mexico), Carthage (North Africa), Rome (Italy), Korea, and other settlements from these kingdoms of the world were widely distributed.

Snakes, while built low, do not eat dirt

And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: [GEN 3:14]

Earth supported?

He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing [JOB 26:7]

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. [JOB 38:4]

Heaven supported too

The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. [JOB 26:11]

The hydrological cycle

All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again. [ECC 1:7]

Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, [JOB 38:22]

Storehouses are not part of the cycle

Order of creation

Here is the order in the first (Genesis 1), the Priestly tradition:

Day 1: Sky, Earth, light
Day 2: Water, both in ocean basins and above the sky(!)
Day 3: Plants
Day 4: Sun, Moon, stars (as calendrical and navigational aids)
Day 5: Sea monsters (whales), fish, birds, land animals, creepy-crawlies (reptiles, insects, etc.)
Day 6: Humans (apparently both sexes at the same time)
Day 7: Nothing (the Gods took the first day off anyone ever did)

Note that there are “days”, “evenings”, and “mornings” before the Sun was created. Here, the Deity is referred to as “Elohim”, which is a plural, thus the literal translation, “the Gods”. In this tale, the Gods seem satisfied with what they have done, saying after each step that “it was good”.

The second one (Genesis 2), the Yahwist tradition, goes:

Earth and heavens (misty)
Adam, the first man (on a desolate Earth)
Plants
Animals
Eve, the first woman (from Adam’s rib)

How orderly were things created?

Step-by-step. The only discrepancy is that there is no Sun or Moon or stars on the first three “days”.

God fixes things up as he goes. The first man is lonely, and is not satisfied with animals. God finally creates a woman for him. (funny thing that an omniscient god would forget things)

How satisfied with creation was he?

God says “it was good” after each of his labors, and rests on the seventh day, evidently very satisfied.

God has to fix up his creation as he goes, and he would certainly not be very satisfied with the disobedience of that primordial couple. (funny thing that an omniscient god would forget things)

Moses’ personality

“Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the fact of the earth.” [Num.12:3]

“And Moses was wroth…And Moses said unto them, “Have ye saved all the women alive? … Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman, … But all the women children … keep alive for yourselves.”
[Num.31:14, 15, 17, 18]

Righteous live?

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree.” [Ps.92:12]

“The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart.” [Isa.57:1]

“Now this man (Judas) purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.” [Acts 1:18]

“And he (Judas) cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. And the chief priests…bought with them the potter’s field.” [Matt. 27:5-7]

Jesus’ first sermon plain or mount?

“And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying….” [Matt.5:1,2]

“And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people… came to hear him.. And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples and said…” [Luke6:17,20]

Jesus’ last words

“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, eli, lama sabachthani?” that is to say, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” …Jesus, when he cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.” [Matt.27:46,50]

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, “Father, unto thy hands I commend my spirit:” and having said thus, he gave up the ghost [Luke23:46]

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished:” and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. [John19:30]

Years of famine

So God came to David, and told him, and said unto him, shall SEVEN YEARS OF FAMINE come unto thee in thy land? Or will thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue. thee? [II SAMUEL 24:13]

SO God came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee. Either THREE YEARS OF FAMINE or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; [I CHRONICLES 21:11, 12]

Moved David to anger?

And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Isreal and Judah. [II SAMUEL 24]

And SATAN stood up against Isreal, and provoked David to number Israel [I CHRONICLES 21]

The GENEALOGY OF JESUS?

In two places in the New Testament the genealogy of Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him) is mentioned. [Matthew 1:6-16] and [Luke 3:23-31]. Each gives the ancestors of Joseph the CLAIMED husband of Mary and Step father of Jesus (peace be upon him). The first one starts from Abraham (verse 2) all the way down to Jesus. The second one from Jesus all the way back to Adam. The only common name to these two lists between David and Jesus is JOSEPH, How can this be true? And also, How can Jesus have a genealogy when all Muslims and most Christians believe that Jesus had/has no father.

God be seen?

[Exod. 24:9,10; Amos 9:1; Gen. 26:2; and John 14:9]

God CAN be seen:

“And I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my backparts.” [Ex. 33:23]

“And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaketh to his friend.” [Ex. 33:11]

“For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” [Gen. 32:30]

God CANNOT be seen

“No man hath seen God at any time. [John 1:18]

“And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for there shall no man see me and live.” [Ex. 33:20]

“Whom no man hath seen nor can see” [1 Tim. 6:16]

CRUEL, UNMERCIFUL, DESTRUCTIVE, and FEROCIOUS or KIND, MERCIFUL, and GOOD:

“I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy.”
[Jer. 13:14]

“Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not, but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling.” [1 Samuel 15:3]

“The Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy.” [James 5:11]

“For his mercy endureth forever.” [1 Chron. 16:34]

“The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works.” (Ps. 145:9) “God is love.” [1 John 4:16]

Tempts?

“And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham.” [Gen 22:1]

“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.” [James 1:13]

Judas died how?

“And he cast down the pieces of silver into the temple and departed, and went out and hanged himself.” [Matt. 27:5]

“And falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all of his bowels gushed out.” [Acts 1:18]

Ascend to heaven

“And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven” [2 Kings 2:11]

“No man hath ascended up to heaven but he that came down from heaven, … the Son of Man.” [John 3:13)]

What was Jesus’ prediction regarding Peter’s denial?

Before the cock crow [Matthew 26:34]

Before the cock crow twice [Mark 14:30]

How many times did the cock crow?

And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept. [MAR 14:72]

Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly. [MAT 26:74-75]

And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spoke, the cock crew.
And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. [LUK 22:60-61]

Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, still thou hast denied me thrice. [JOH 13:38]

Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.
[JOH 18:27]

Who killed Saul

Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.
So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together. [SA1 31:4-6]

And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him that he died. [SA2 1:15]

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. [JO1 3:9]

Who bought potter’s field

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. [ACT 1:18-19]

And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.
Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day. [MAT 27:6-8]

Judging

The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment:” (NIV)
[1 Cor 2:15 “]

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

How long was Jesus in the tomb?

Depends where you look; [Matthew 12:40] gives Jesus prophesying that he will spend “three days and three nights in the heart of the earth”, and [Mark 10:34] has “after three days (meta treis emeras) he will rise again”. As far as I can see from a quick look, the prophecies have “after three days”, but the post-Resurrection narratives have “on the third day”.

“The x-rated Bible” by Ben Edward Akerley, published by American atheist press, Austin Texas, 1985.

A good source of _literal_ Biblical self-contradictions is (surprise) “Self-Contradictions of the Bible”, written by William Henry Burr in 1859 as a response to fundamentalism. It is currently published by Prometheus Books, 700 East Amherst St., Buffalo, NY 14215. P. B. also publishes a large number of books on religious inquiry and biblical critiques, the majority of which have a humanistic/atheistic slant. As far as “Self-Contradictions …” goes, it contains about 140 textual inconsistencies, classified under “Theological Doctrines”, “Moral Precepts”, “Historical Facts”, and “Speculative Doctrines.”

“The Bible Handbook” is a compilation of several previous works by several authors, including W P Ball, G W Foote, and John Bowden. Also, the writing by Mr. Foote is dated 1900, so we see that this is not a new endeavor. _The Bible Handbook_ by W.P. Ball, et al., available for nine dollars from the American Atheist Press, P.O. Box 2117, Austin TX 78768-2117. It’s a collection of biblical contradictions, absurdities, atrocities, immoralities, indecencies, obscenities, unfulfilled prophecies and broken promises. This 372-page volume will give the atheist tons of scriptural ammunition for shooting down the flimsy arguments of the reality impaired.
